The Holy Episcopal Church In
America
Presiding Bishop's
Notes
Larry R. Morton, ThD, DD
Bishop

O LORD, we beseech thee, let thy continual pity cleanse and defend thy Church; and, because it cannot continue in safety without thy succour, preserve it evermore by thy help and goodness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
If ever we needed the protection of the Lord, it is now, in these times when our faith is under attack by the forces of darkness. We are on the brink of having our freedom to practice our faith infringed, and in fact there are already many infringements in place throughout this land.
Our children are being indoctrinated in the schools we support through our taxes, indoctrination tailored to remove God from their consciousness. They are being groomed to turn on the faith of their parents, and I predict that someday they will be asked (told) to turn on the parents as well. It happened in Socialist Germany in 1930s, it happened in Socialist Russia, Communist Uganda in the 1950s, Present day Cuba, N. Korea, China and the list goes on and on.
We all must be diligent in our prayers for the protection of our faith and it's free expression in our land. We must watch for opportunities to challenge the forces of evil rampant in the land. Then, we must take action to protect our faith, to ensure the continuation of the nation created for us by our forefathers, exercising their faith in God.
Through prayer we can save our land and strengthen our own faith. Through study we can show ourselves to be workmen that need not to be ashamed. Read the Bible. Know history and recognize when it is being repeated. History will repeat if we don't stop the virus from being spread to our youth.
I would pray that you are inspired to turn to the Lord now, before it is too late. Receive Him as your Savior, and try to live up to the standards set by our Christ.
May God bestow his blessings on each of you, In the name of the Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.
Glòir do'n Athair, agus do'n Mhac, agus do'n Spiorad Naomh
Amen
